“Saw the rave reviews on social media about this place so we decided to stop on our way to Fort Worth. SO WORTH THE DRIVE! This place was absolutely incredible! So many choices for kolaches, sausages, sandwiches, etc. Just about anything your heart desires. Will definitely be back on our way through again. It is a MUST stop! Friendly staff as well.”

“Definitely one of the best places in West for Kolaches! We decided to do our research and stop at all the top places for kolaches and Czech Stop did not disappoint. They probably had the largest selection of tasty items and flavor combinations. The staff were friendly and service was fast. It’s usually crowded but for good reasons as everything we tasted was great.”

“Great bakery and top-notch kolaches. If you live near this joint you’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t visit. Finding kolaches outside of Texas can be difficult.”

“We stopped here because we saw a sign on the highway and needed a pitstop. We were surprised by how many people were standing in line but decided to wait it out. It didnt end up being too long of a wait and we bought 6 different kolaches.”

“I have enjoyed coming to this iconic shop since childhood. Everything is delicious. My go to is the breakfast sausage & strawberry cream cheese kolaches’. If you’re ever in West, you need to stop by.”

“Truly a national treasure. I love this place so much. My mother, my grandmother, and I have all seperately gone there during different times of our lives and it is crazzzzyyy how much a taste can bring back so many memories. I’m sending my mom a box of her favorite pastries for Mother’s Day because she shared them with her own mom. Thanks for making those memories possible.”

“The kolaches are amazing every time in the 10 year span we’ve driven & stopped by. At this point it’s a family tradition. ♥️ My favorite are the fruit kolaches, especially the strawberry and apricot. They also have meat ones ^_^ and cinnamon rolls and a whole bunch of delicious things.”

“Growing up in Dallas and roadtripping to Austin this is always a must-stop for everyone. They’re always making the kolaches fresh and so many opciones for everyone. If you like spicy the jalapeño is amazing and for the sweet tooth pretty much anything with their cream cheese. Love this place.”

“From sweet to savory, Czech Stop has it all! This is a must-stop spot every time I’m passing through West, TX. The sausage, egg, and cheese kolache is always hot, fresh, and hits the spot. The chorizo breakfast burrito is packed with flavor and perfect for a morning pick-me-up. And don’t even think about leaving without trying the maple twist—it’s melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Fast service, friendly folks, and a bakery that never misses. Highly recommend!”

“The food was so good!!! I had a spinach pastry for breakfast, and took a chocolate cupcake for lunch. Highly recommend stopping at this little bakery.”

“Beat kolche and klabsnic in TX. Just drop in, ya wont be sorry. Also, they have some great homemade other stuff, but their bakery….. oh my. Happy am I!”

“Fun place to stop and get some delicious treats while on the road! The cherry is my favorite and I can’t wait to try the cheesy garlic muffins we bought!”

“Czech Stop is fantastic! I discovered it decades ago when I was in graduate school at University of Texas Austin, and another graduate student who was Czech told me he was going to West Texas to get kolaches. I was shocked because I thought he was driving 10 hours all the way to El Paso until he explained that West is a town in Central Texas! Not only is it a small convenience store with Shell gasoline, but they have the best kolaches I’ve had anywhere.”

“Great price value for delicious pastries that are freshly made. I would definitely stop by here if you’re going on a road trip (happen to pass by) or if you live in Fort Worth, it is WORTH the drive. We went to a conference in San Antonio (from Denton) and I had to stop by a second time on the way back.”

“Now thats a kolache. Super value for money. This kolache is much more filling than any mcdonalds breakfast meal and is so much cheaper. Light, fluffy, so delicious. Consider breakfast and lunch needs satisfied. I preferred their savory more than the sweet and felt they did savory better but both were definitely at a high level.”

“Local knows – this is the best bakery in Texas, we deliberately pin-stopped there on our way to Dallas from Austin. They serve us with different kinds of options from sweet to savory. I try most of their sweet options (Awesome!) and their spicy sausages (Very Good!). All look freshly made, and you can taste it they use natural ingredients not like any other bakery that tastes chemicals in it to prolong the freshness.”
